London lad Ibrahim Bakare who signed at Morecambe FC youth team at age 16 in August 2018 from Mass Elite Academy in London has continued to thrive out on loan.

He settled in well really quickly at the Lancashire club and after a series of good performances for the youth team and reserves Ibrahim has attracted numerous clubs interested in him like Brentford FC, Watford FC, Leeds United FC and West Brom FC and two of those clubs made an approach and as a result Ibrahim was offered a 2 year professional contract at Morecambe FC and given his squad number.

Now a few months onwards the talented centre halve who signed a pro contract earlier in the season at Morecambe FC has been out on loan at Lancaster City FC playing mens senior football where he is enjoying the physical challenge and seriousness of non league football and also the atmosphere the fans provide which has resulted in him being man of the match on a few occasions.
To top it of he’s also gathering interest with a host of bigger clubs are now watching him and taking a liking to him whilst out on loan.

Just as some of us expected but I'm. I'm not sure Da thinks the same as unless I'm wrong is now training with the surplus to requirement crew

Could be a case of letting a good prospect go for next to nothing.

if Ibrahim is a defender, then i will argue it’s a position we can’t afford to experiment with, where as Medes Gomes he plays upfront so can get away with mistakes up at the other end of the pitch.

our L2 position is “Serious”

If he is on loan at Lancaster, why would he train with our first team? If they are spending time looking at tactics for the upcoming game - it makes sense to only have players in that group that are actually going to be in the match day squad - so training in the second group makes perfect sense.

Hasn't he been playing in our Ressies whilst out on loan? I think we should send more players out on loan to Lancaster City, it's good for the young lads to get used to playing competitive footy.

Not sure - but as they are part time (being generous, more like amateur), Bakare is likely to be with us for a lot of the time during the week.

Didn't somebody post a week or so ago that Ibrahim had returned to our club having cut short his loan deal.... :?: :?: :?:

For me both Ibrahim and Jagne should be kept for at least another season as both have good careers ahead of them and I'd hate to see some other club benefit from them IF no adequate fee had been paid and by adequate I mean £100K at least when you look at some of the figures being paid out for younger players these days by the bigger clubs who can afford to play them in their Development Squads.

Yes they did, and it might be a surprise but not everything posted on here is factual. He has been playing for Lancaster ever since.

Strange that the City site confirms that Ibrahim returned to us on the 31st December but then no mention of him playing for them to date.
