A lot on here have been talking about the value of a striker. So what about the rarity of a eff footed singer who can put crosses in from the left effectively, and do we have anyone with a decent left foot ?

Yes, how I despise predictive tXting, but I've no idea how to switch it off. All I want is what I write to go on the screen. Don't want to spell check every bloody word. It should have said 'left footed winger !

On the other hand, perhaps an "eff footed singer" is just what we need - that's something none of the other teams have :D :D :D

Certainly no team would know how to cope with one

If the eff singer crossed it and our forwards scored we would all be singing from the same song book! :D

one of the best Lefty's we ever had IMO was Colin Alty, unfortunately broke his leg 3 times playing for us, what a class act he was :D

Twissy and Mark Shirley. 2 of my all time favourite players.

Now you are talking REAL class.

One of my favourite all time players. One of Ken Waterhouse many class signings I recall.

Twissy scored a cracker at home to Bury with his left foot. He cut in from the right wing and smashed it from about 30 yards. What a player.

Aye, Twissy could certainly hit a ball... a few lefties here, watched by some very young looking faces

Some lovely creative football was played under Jim Harvey as well as some superb goals.

The fans seemed to come out in force for those home games but of course the Lancaster Road Stand played its part in creating such an atmosphere.

Yes , I thought he was a decent player and I was disappointed when Harvey got rid of him to , was it Burton Albion ? He used to bomb down the left wing and get good crosses in.

A bit of a character too. He bought a house on Buxton Street when he played for us and who remembers him turning his car over on Morecambe Promenade !

He did didn't he
Never forget being sat in that east stand at Carlisle, having just gone 3-1 down on the stroke of half time, looking totally dead and buried.
Then coming out 2nd half and bringing it back to 3-3 with Wayno and Thommo breaking cumbrian hearts
