Indeed he was, just another 41 on the list!

Monk was in Jim Harveys all time Shrimps 11 and what a team

Imagine my surprise when I moved to our new house in Padiham, E Lancs and when I spoke to one of the new neighbours over the fence I found it was Monkys dad. He watched us regularly at the time his lad was playing and knows the likes of Rod and other notables who were about at the time. As a young lad Monky played in the E Lancs league for Burnley Belverdere and no one, but no one, could match him for pace at that level. He is now a radio dispatcher at a taxi firm in Preston according to his dad.

Have I got my wires crossed or did Dave Roberts (player/manager of the trophy winning team in 75) not join us from Macc town?

Yes Tibor was half decent, didn't realise he was ex Macc. A certain Sammy Mc of course, probably the most famous of all!

Darren Lyons was another quality right winger. His best days were behind him but he had some class.

Tony Diagne?
