Barrow's footballing fans / public need to be commended for such a superb fund raising effort to date.

Would be a shame if their team was denied promotion due to circumstance beyond their control.

If he's got any sense he'll steer well clear of that car crash

Barrow wanting £250,000 in compo for Evatt. They want it up front and before any contract talks between BWFC and Evatt.

Wouldn't blame them in the slightest, more than proved his worth at motivating the players he had at his disposal and completely turned that club around

Looks like Evatt has now gone to Bolton Wanderers.

JB one of the names mentioned as his replacement at Holker Street.

Just like the guy who walked out on Luton for a higher position, even if it goes t*ts up he'll virtually be assured of walking straight back into the job he's left.

Bents would be better off staying on the coast, his journey to work would be horrendous unless he's bought a boat?

They only go to Barrow to play home games they train at Rochdale. Unless JB decides its good for them to train in the town like he did with us. Cant see it been popular though as all the players live Manchester way.

Evatt has gone to Bolton. Be interesting to see who gets the job with the Bentley rumours being quashed by Alan Nixon.

Have to admit, I thought Evatt might have extended his loyalty to Barrow but had his head turned by a once, decent club now in the doldrums, hope he doesn't come to regret it

David Dunn odds on favourite.

Might be a good shout looks like he has been doing a lot of coaching at Blackburn and Blackpool.

On the Barrow site the chairman says:

"We are very confident we can recruit a new management team that can take us to the next level also playing attractive, possession based football"

I think that rules Jim out then.

When you're used to working with nothing, I suppose achieving nothing comes as no surprise and maybe the time has come for Jim where it's started to work against him.
He should take a year out and see how it goes, life's way too short!
