New season squad number

If the proposed limit of 21 players per squad comes into fruition then we have an expectation of 7 new players joining the club assuming that everybody offered a new contract puts pen to paper we will have 13 players from last season left.

DA has one hell of a rebuilding job on his hands but I suspect that that is the challenge that he will relish.

Exciting times ahead......

Probably some debate over how you could divide up positions but:

GK: Halstead
RB:
CB: Old, Lavelle (Kenyon) - Bakare?
LB: Cranston, Conlan
DM: Diagouraga, Kenyon
CM: Wildig
AM: Mendes Gomes, O'Sullivan, Slew, Leitch Smith
CF: Stockton (Leitch Smith, Slew)

I'd say room for a good eight or nine players to come in preferably, dependent on squad size allowances. For me, I think we need:
A goalkeeper, two right backs, two centre backs (depending on Bakare situation), two centre midfielders, No10 style attacker who can operate on the wing too and a target man.

All of this is somewhat dependent though on what kind of style/formation Adams is wanting to play.

Seem to remember the 'exciting times ahead' (or similar) being said last season by more than just RR. Let's wait and see.

I would expect Halstead to be a back-up keeper judging by the last fixtures we played. Maybe even going out on loan.

Unfortunately red alert is probably right, money will be tight for most clubs , our owners will obviously be badly hit by the repercussions of the pandemic ,and the manager will have to hunt for loans etc, on the bright side so will a lot of clubs, and social distancing wont effect our crowds as we rarely exceed a third of the stadium capacity , we might even see a rise in gates.

I have seen a report that the 20 premier league clubs are going to put £10 million each into a fund to be distributed to the EFL clubs. Championship clubs will get the most about 6.4 £million each , League 1 clubs about £1 million each and League 2 clubs would each receive a one off payment of £666,000. This would help bridge our lost income from 5 home games and functions etc if it comes to fruition.
