So when's the Newcastle match then?

When it goes out on iFollow it looks like it has the potential to be a big earner (for us). I'm sure I've seen somewhere that the first 500 of away fans goes to the home club and thereafter sales go to the away club. Though, is that league matches only? Glen seemed to think that we get half of all sales from the Newcastle match. If that's right and we get 20,000 away passes, then that's £80,000+ in the coffers. If, however, it's shown live on Sky then presumably that will be a fixed fee - £50,000 seems to stick in my mind for that, but I'm not sure. So does anyone know what exactly happens?

Also, and this is my cynical untrusting mind, but how does anyone know that iFollow declare the number of passes bought? Is it open to scrutiny?

I noticed that Oldham supporters had to "enjoy" the home commentary last night. Is that something that happens only in the Carabao cup? It means any Newcastle fans tuning in will get Smashy and Nicey. That could be fun. Freez and Glen broadcast to biggest ever audience. Maybe we'll get an influx of new member applications from the toon for Shrimpsvoices?

Without knowing the answer I would have thought all IFollow money would be split between the 2 clubs in the same proportions as if we had 5,000 fans in like in 2013.

I assume Newcastle fans will have to buy an iFollow pass from us? Newcastle are a Premier League team so don't have their own iFollow, if they want to buy it then they'll have to buy it through us. That should mean we get 100% of the money, and they'll definitely need to listen to radio bias!

Just a pity that the game couldn't be used as a Test Game regarding the way a club has to respond to a given situation with regards to allowing a number of fans back into the stadium to test that the clubs plans are satisfactory to handle the virus and its associated problems.

3rd round ties are not broadcast through IFollow, it will still be available to view if fans not allowed back in to the ground in small numbers. It’s broadcast through Carabao Cup online or something similar, but WILL be available.
However, broadcast Online revenue is split 50/50 in the cups yes.
League home games, we get the first 500 of away subscription, away games the other teams get the same deal, above 500 the away team gets the revenue, so 700 subscribers for the away club, they get 200 of it.

Ironically, we could get a lot more money by not having fans than having them. 6,000 sell out, split 50:50 at about £15 each, or 40,000+ @ £8 split? Newcastle fans around the country may well sign up for this, so possibly even more than that.

I'm presuming our fixture will appear here after tonights 2nd Round fixtures are complete. We'll be in the hat for the fourth round for the first time!

No live SKY it would appear. Game listed for Wednesday 23rd Sept. Luton v Man U and Orient v Spurs live on the Tuesday and Fleetwood v Everton live on the Wednesday. Should be OK financially as long as plenty sign up for subscription viewing.

Ordinarily, I doubt if the fixture would appeal much to Newcastle fans, but in these weird times, having been starved of football, they may well be interested enough. Fans from around the country can watch, so let's hope for a good turnout of fans staying in!

The 4th round draw takes place tonight after the Sky match has finished so at least we will get to know who we will play if we beat Newcastle.

I loaded the live Grimsby Carabao cup match from the Morecambe official site.
iFollow - next match but do it after tomorrow's match (and before the Newcastle match )

Has everybody who has a code for the Cambridge match logged into ifollow already? Wouldn't want 600+ logging in at 2:50pm tomorrow!

It looks like they've added it now, I don't think it will be on the normal iFollow because it involves a Premier League team and they don't have iFollow.

Yes is being run from a studio in London with commentary from the studio, as the pictures go out.
We, as humble fans for us, are just on the radio feed on IFollow, happy days!
