Did the lads say during the commentary Saturday that lbrahim bakare had left ?
Just had a quick look at the first team and his picture has vanished,
Has he been released or loaned out ??

I did say that, yep,I didn’t know he had left, and still don’t, but Ibrahim is listed as 22 in the squad, and this number has now been allocated to Liam Gibson, so by a process of elimination.......?

Hopefully Ibrahim has gone out on a season long loan and will return next season a player who has matured playing in the mans game at non league level.

DA indicated that he was one of the 2 youth players who he was making part of the first team set up. i hope that is still the case 'cause at 18 he's got a good future in the game and is already the interest of a number of other clubs.

Maybe the club could confirm his current situation with our club.... :?: :?: :?:

Released by Derek due to a written agreement allowing Ibrahim to go on trial at any club that wanted him at any time he wanted. We have a sell on clause.

Bit of an odd one, I can understand letting a youngster go on trials but I don't see why it would be a written agreement that lets them disappear every week.

Not sure how we can have a sell-on agreement if he's been released as well, I'm sure we do I've just never heard of that before.

Have to agree with ts that the arrangement seems very strange and works totally in Ibrahim's favour.

Would be interesting to know which club he has opted for and if the trial doesn't work out does he return or has he gone for good. :?: If so then for me this is the mistake of our otherwise excellent manager. Ibrahim showed a lot of maturity and potential for us to discuss a change in his contract, otherwise he could be going from club to club in search of a contract with no guarantee of getting one.

Very odd but who in the first place agreed to such conditions....big mistake for me....

Previous regime? Doesn't sound like DA would agree to such a freedom contract! Also if he wants to keep his options open by trialling here there and everywhere he doesn't really want to be at Morecambe! Time will tell if it was a good/bad idea. Might still get a few bob from him though.
Don't worry be happy!

If he was wanting to go trialling everywhere then Derek has made the right call.

DA wants players who are focussed on playing for Morecambe and does not want anyone in the squad who has not bought into that.

It all sounds very unusual. If I'm understanding this correctly, it was written in to his contract that he could go out on trial whenever he wanted to, but also, after being released from his contract, we retained a right over him which means we will potentially get some money for him?

So how did that work out then?

Seems really odd to me, best of luck to him though so he can go and earn us some money!

Good luck to Ibrahim. Just hope he proves himself and that we get some pennies in line with the terms of his contract.

Wonder if Cardiff are aware of the clause in his contract with us about the money we are entitled to.... :?: :?: :?:
