Signing international players

Do we ever sign players not from the U.K? Think it would be an interesting prospect to bring some new talent into the league. Maybe the Spanish, Dutch, Italian or Portuguese lower leagues.

Takano was Japanese! I well remember him celebrating his goal in front of the Scouseport fans many years ago! :D He also became a good sports question.
Don't worry be happy!

Bit late on this bandwagon, the wheels are being taken off on January 1st! With no EU freedom of movement, lower league players won't be able to come to the UK anymore.

Anyway, we've got Diagouraga, Songo'o, Mendes-Gomes, Da Silver-Mendes, O'Sullivan & McAlinden, as non-Brits!

So how did that work out then?

Irish players will be unaffected thankfully, but I do wonder how many of our current players no longer would be allowed to play here

Foreign ownership didn't go very well and affiliations with Chinese clubs didn't pay off either. Let's stick with what we know.

Don't worry, there's another four weeks to sort something out...
