If King Derek keeps working his magic it won't be long before bigger clubs start sniffing. He has turned this club around in less than a year working on a tiny budget. He got us to the third round of the league cup, we are still in the FA cup and currently 10th in the league, just two points off the play-offs. The sooner we extend his contract the better.

Totally agree B. The “M” word might rear it’s ugly head again unfortunately, that’s the concern(?)

Listen, Morecambe might not thank me, but get the contract out, put it on the table, let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there given what he’s done now since he’s come in and let him sign the contract and go. Derek’s at the wheel man, he’s doing it, he’s doing his thing. Morecambe are back!

;) (cheers Rio)

I'd like to think that because of his life and beliefs outside of football that he would put loyalty and a desire to finish what he has started before any financial benefit to any potential move in the near future.

For me he showed tremendous adherence to his given acceptance of the role despite a very late offer of an opportunity to manage back in his homeland.

This showed us the character of the man and we are fortunate that we have such a man at this moment in charge of all team matters.

Long may it continue and as others have suggested our BoD should offer him an extended contract as a matter of priority.

:D :D :D
