Hope this isn't true. Selling our best player and potentially worth a lot more...

Yeah let's hope that's not true although it wouldn't surprise me if bids were coming in.

Really hope it is only speculation. He must be worth more than £100k, and definitely more than that to the Shrimps.

It looks like one of those dodgy Twitter accounts again. Maybe there’s occasionally some truth in what that account posts, but normally what they do is steal transfers from other sources, and then just pad the account with false rumours to make it look like they’re in the know. Looking at the other ‘rumours’ they have shared, it’s a load of bollocks.

Hopefully it’s just a fake rumour! But anyway, I do believe that Carlos’ short-term development lies with us, and not a League One side - no disrespect to Carlos, but he wouldn’t start at that level yet.

Surely CMG is worth more than that , only seems to be a rumour at the moment but rumours start somewhere !

£100K is ridiculous when you consider that Cardiff have agreed a deal for a crawley striker worth £1million.

Anything less than £500K and we are giving him away.

Just hope its a bloody rumour but if he goes then its another example of selling a player with potential far too cheaply.

I have just tweeted Matt Scrafton to see if he knows anything about it. He seems to be in the know when it comes to the Donkey Lashers.

CMG is out of contract in the summer so unless the club want to gamble with a tribunal, 100k might be the best case scenario if the lad doesn't want a new deal.

Think selling him for 100k would be bad business. IMO he’s worth a lot more and will go on to bigger things in the future. I believe he’s potentially championship quality!

True or not, when it's your money and you can get £100K now or nowt in April, what would you do?

Bit like having a large accumulator on Bet 365, do you cash out £100K on your 9 winning teams before the opposition take a deciding penalty on the 10th and final game??

Pretty sure a few would be pressing that button before scarpering

A decent sell on percentage could be more lucrative than the 100k we get up front.

Must agree it’s not a great amount, but he’s still very raw, will he get better?? Who knows, but I would let him go for the right price, he misses an awful lot that he should be scoring, and perhaps if he was the price would be a lot more

Why are the club quiet about this?. £100,000 is a lousy amount for a lad with his potential..

In a recent interview Adams was quite candid about Carlos' contract situation, indicating that the club were 'in a good position in that regard'. I took that to mean we have some kind of option to extend his contract by another year(?). Speculation on my part, but that would make sense given we had an option last season to extend his previous deal - and instead offered him a new enhanced deal that recognised his personal development and growing importance to the team. There must've also been some other benefit to the club for doing this, otherwise they'd surely just have extended his previous contract and possibly considered offers?

It is refreshing that not a lot gets out of the club these days in terms of rumours about who earns what, who is coming/going - I think this is partly due to the fact that the players now train away from the club. For example, who knew we had an option to extend Toums deal before the club formerly announced it pre-season? The general consensus amongst supporters at the time was that he was on 'big' money at Swindon, and we wouldn't be able to afford him after his initial deal finished. Shocked when I read the article on the clubs website, stating that the club had taken up and option that seemingly nobody knew about!

Regarding the twitter rumour in the initial post, most likely unfounded bollocks lacking credibility. Blackpool have just sent Welsh international Ben Woodburn back to Liverpool as he can't get into their team at the moment.

In terms of a value for Carlos. How much did we get for Jack Redshaw? £250kish? I'd say Carlos is around that sort of value, given his age.

Its not in the clubs interest to answer twitter rumours and every piece of unfounded speculation from unreliable sources on the internet. If they did, they'd need to employ a full-time press officer just to contend with Neil's posts ;)

Its fine for supporters to discuss these rumours obviously, but I wouldn't expect any announcement from the club unless their was any confirmed movement regarding the player. This is similar to the speculation linking Adams to managerial vacancies recently.

I too think we have a one year option on Carlos, I can't think why else Adams would be confident with his contract, knowing that we have that extra security if interest does pick up.

No truth in it according to the club, so paper talk, or click bait.

Christ almighty, that would be some job. Trying to decipher his posts would be trickier than cracking the Enigma Machine.

I hope you are right about an extra year, it would make good business sense and does make the 100k look a poor bid. I just saw that he had signed for a year and I also agree that the drip feeding of club info to certain people had to stop.
