It’s a big evening. Carlisle are the best placed of the bunch at the moment.

Happy to go up with Carlisle. An away day we don’t want to lose.

I wonder what has happened at Newport recently ?

No idea but hope there aren't many more of the top teams go off the boil. We don't want it made too easy for us, do we?

Newport have lost a couple of important loan players this month in Brandon Cooper and particularly Scott Twine (who Luton are now apparently in for). Their decline started back in December it seems, and these losses will not have helped at all.
Cheltenham have been struggling in the league now for a while too, despite playing excellently against Man City.
No team has really taken the initiative aside from Carlisle - I think the only reason they're not top now is because of postponed matches. Forest Green have missed a bit of an opportunity as their form recently hasn't been great. Cambridge have done ok but not sure they'll last long at the top with most teams having at least a couple of games in hand on them.

Will be interesting to see the team tonight.
Will it be a second appearance for the on emergency loan goalkeeper or will it be Mark or even someone else between the sticks.....

If and it`s a big if but if we come away with 3 points tonight we could go as high as 3rd (Cambridge draw or beat Salford)
Newport v Carlisle OFF
Mansfield v Bolton OFF

Mansfield are the sleeping giant, woken unfortunately by Cloughie. Some of the top 3/4 will soon have them breathing down their neck, if they continue as they are. Not totally topic, but adds even more spice to the result(s.)
