Oh no, that's so cruel on us given that we don't have time to replace him.

If true this will be a great move for Adam
Test himself at league 1 level
Accy assistant Jimmy Bell was commentating on the Colchester game last week with quinny so probably a scouting job at same time

If Burnley were planning to do this I hope they gave us notice, very harsh to do it with hours left on deadline day.
Phillips and CMG were developing a brilliant partnership, he's going to be very hard to replace.

Good luck Adam
Nothing wrong with a player wanting to play at a higher level
Hopefully we can bring someone else in but if not we go with what we have got

I agree, good luck to him, but very poor of Burnley, leaving it until deadline day to recall him, leaving almost no time to replace him.

Best of luck to Adam. After the initial shock and disappointment of losing him, and to rub-salt in, then goes out to Accy, but I can see it all makes sense for the young lad. He was possibly unsettled by dealings during the week since the Colchester game and was out-of-sorts for much of the Tranmere game (but did get the ball in the net brilliantly only to be ruled narrowly off-side!). As we know, he's been BRILLIANT for us and showed real quality, great to have had at MFC, scored plenty, created more and won us many points! Many thanks Adam. He's young and will be focused on getting to the highest level he can. The step-up to League 1 then maybe a local Championship club? But ultimately he will really want to turn out for the Clarets in the Premiership. Great player to have had at MFC. We look forward to seeing you make the grade! Many thanks again and best of luck Adam!

To be fair, most people (including myself) assumed that it was Burnley instigating the recall. Can't help feel very disappointed that it transpired like this from Phillips on the final day of the window. Yes he's helped us, but we have also helped develop him and make a very good name for himself at this level.

I suppose it comes down to people’s ethics, there is a saying about being nice to people on the way up because you’ll sure as hell meet them again on your way down.

Looks to me that Accrington made contact with Adam following their assistant managers appearance alongside Quinny on a Radio Lancashire broadcast and 'suggested' that he (and they) would benefit for a move to the Crown Ground in EFL1 rather than stay and complete his season long loan with us. For any move to happen it would I assume be for the parent club agree to the move if only to discuss any fee or agreement about wages.
In an interview on the Accy Forum Adam said that the move had been on the cards for some time and that he was glad that it had finally be sorted.
For me questions need to be asked of Accy's initial approach which left us with little time to seek an alternate loan signing of similar stature other than the development player from Salford.
The entire move and how it came about stinks....

Perhaps this is what all the off 'pitch trouble' was about a couple of weeks ago?
