Great interview.
Graham confirmed what I had always suspected, the rule is purely based on your income and that 60% of this income was allowed to be spent on players wages. The rule does not take into account other obligations a club may have. It seems to punish solvent clubs, by capping what they are allowed to spend on players salaries.
Take Bradford City for example, with 14,000 season ticket holders they must have the highest income in the division. Yet with a staggering £1.2 million forked in rent alone for Valley Parade they also probably have expenses than any other club, yet this is not taken into consideration.
I'm gald that its been cleared up, but the rule needs looking into. Despite being a well run club, we have been capped at the same level of spending as the clubs that can't run a raffle.
