I came on here before the Bolton game to wish you luck but that didn't work out as planned. I've stayed off since as I didn't want to be a jinx.
Anyway, I'm safe to come back on and say a massive congratulations. Enjoy the moment and all being well I'll be having a day out in Morecambe (please not midweek in December!)
Have a great night.
From your Burton Albion friend.

Cheers mate ... Clubs like ours always get written off but we will be playing amongst the likes of Portsmouth, Sunderland, Charlton, Sheff Wed and Ipswich next season
DREAMS DO COME TRUE

Burton and Wycombe both reached the championship - Accrington and Fleetwood are now established in league 1
We could just surprise quite a few people even if we are favourites to get relegated

Clubs like he ones you've named won't like playing at your ground but will expect to pick up 3 points. They'll be in for a shock when they turn up with that attitude. I saw it many times especially in the Championship.

Kevin was the last Newport player to leave the pitch. He looked devaststed but credit to him he did congratulate all those foremer players he played with.
Time is no longer on his side so to retire from EFL football would seem to be the logical step but knowing Kevin he could turn up at National League level.
Thanks for the memories of the good times Kevin....

He may have shaken every players hand but was caught on camera passing D.A. face to face and totally ignored him.

I've seen it in league 2 over the years as well and explains why teams like Notts County, Chesterfield have gone down yet smaller clubs accy, Burton, dagger have managed promotion.

It takes two to tango.....wouldn't have expected anything more from either of them.
It's over and done with now and Kevin will ever have memories of the good times at our club.
Wouldn't surprise me if he popped up as a manager somewhere in the future.
