He has, I predicted he will get the job. He could do quite well I think he was quite unfairly let go by Notts County.

thing i like about him is his experience with Wimbledon underdogs mixing it against all odds in the Premier League days.

Ardley good player but not sure he could manage at league one level. Some ex players and now coaches such as Hill, Parkinson and Alex Neil have that bit more experience at this level. I would rather see a experienced coach who can keep us up. Didn’t realise also he had been let go at Notts County. If they do bring him in that’s the club’s personal choice I shall still back whoever. However I don’t want Campbell after his antics at Macclesfield and Southend they have both gone back into non league. Bassey has done nothing at Barnet and they would have been relegated had they had relegation spots not to COVID. Some terrible names but also some good names. At the moment by the betting it looks like Hilly is in pole position.

Ardley achieved his first managerial trophy by beating Plymouth Argyle 2–0 in the League Two Play-off Final, promoting AFC Wimbledon to League One for the first time in its history.

The 2016–17 season had the Dons finish respectably in 15th place (57 points; -3 GD) in its first season in League One, in part to Lyle Taylor and Tom Elliott's 10 and 9 League goals respectively.[14]

The 2017–18 season saw Ardley unable to follow up and build on the previous season. The Dons disappointed and battled relegation all season but managed to stay up with an 18th-place finish (53 points; -11 GD), due to Lyle Taylor's 14 League goals and a 7-game unbeaten run over April and May

So he managed to defeat Derek Adams at Wembley :D

He was with the Dons for quite a while and managed to keep them up for 2 years and then got Notts County to the playoff final in the conference.

Deff worth some consideration although will most of his contacts be southern based.
