First player we've signed for a fee since Jason Oswell?

Some background about our latest new striker.... :)

Some of the front men are going to miss out on game time when you consider the number we've signed. Cole is certainly going to have to keep his good form of last season..... :?: :?: :?:

I hope this is a sign that we will have 2 up front for some games at least, could make a team out of our forward going players now :)

Let's hope that the new strikers have better goal scoring records than some we've signed in the past Certainly enough competition but can they do the business when the season really kicks in.

:?: :?: :?:

Really like this signing. Competition up top is looking good!

Very hard to pick through the rubbish from Bristol Rovers fans on this one! However, found a couple of more sound and reasonable voices that have a some good things to say about him. Quick and mobile for a big lad apparently, seems to have a bit of skill on him from some clips I've seen and can use both feet which is good. Nominally a CF but I wouldn't be surprised to see him operate off the wing on occasion given how we've set up in these friendlies.

It's been 4-3-3 throughout pretty much the whole of the pre-season schedule I think. SR has mentioned an injury to a striker that has increased the necessity for a bit more fire power up top. Guessing it's Obika as he's not featured since Workington I don't think. Always good to have the option of a front two but I imagine it'll be 4-3-3ish throughout most of the season.

I heard the words “IF we get” before a long term injury, but could be wrong.

Sounds like a forward is injured and is going to be out for longer than management were expecting

Not great for team or the player

Possibly Obika ???

Ayunga only scored 2 goals in 30 starts for Bristol Rovers so not great stats

But lets see what he can do

He scored a fair few in National League South so just a case of whether he can remember where the goal is back in L1.
Stephen has followed him for a couple of seasons, quite excited how he is going to make 2 or 3 of these young gems shine

i agree, and like Derek Adams it looks like its 2 players for every position, hopefully with the same "play well you keep the shirt" philosophy and no tinkering.
