Yep agree. Think the away following will be absolutely massive which will probably help!

Not sure I think this having to get a ticket in advance is knocking a few hundred off as people such as neutrals not used to it, also its still school holidays and covid.
I would have thought there would have been 5000 for PNE but we were way off.
I will go with 4900 today

4 home games so far and over 17,000 attended
When I started watching 40 yes ago we wouldn't have got that many over the full season
Sick in bed today but that's better than any medication

I can well remember games when we had 250 so not a bad improvement.
So glad that the financial gamble regarding season tickets has paid off with record crowds so far.

impressive!!
although we could get more in if we'd the away stand was like our home stand coming right down to ground level. its a stupid design.

Loads of empty seats in the main stand still more so than on Tuesday.
I also felt there was still loads of space im the Bartercard, so was suprised it was over 5000.

The numbers are super impressive and the noise and atmosphere generated is brilliant. Well done to the singers for creating such a bouncing atmosphere again. Doing the club proud.

Berlin Wall was looking good today with a good number on there.
Can't comment about seats in the Main Stand but the gate was superb and the noise was impressive, so loud that SR had difficulty getting his instructions to the players.
He's like a cat on a hot tin roof but certainly let's his player know when they do something wrong.

OK, we won by an own goal, but a goal is a goal, and a win is a win. I wonder if this will possibly encourage more 'doubters' to get down to support.

Can't be many 'doubters' left surely or are they all keeping quiet at the moment? Certainly the 'moaners' are!

Don't think there is room for them!

What is the official capacity of the ground as there were quite a few empty seats in the main stand , and you could have squeezed In more behind the goal and in the car wash stand. Still a very good crowd and atmosphere, best I have experienced at the club.
There is potential for further gates like this against Bolton and Sunderland, as large crowds for Wigan, Ipswich etc.

The "
official capacity" and real capacity are two different things. The new ground was required to have a certain number of seats, which it has. But to fit the sponsors boxes & lounge in, many of them have a '
restricted view' to such an extent that they can't be used.
Other empty seats may be season ticket holders who are unable to attend (holiday etc) but they are counted in the attendance. It would be interesting to see the numbers counted inside the ground for the Health & Safety compared to the 'official attendance'. My guess is, that's why the PNE crowd didn't look substantially different to Sheffield Wednesday's? Actual number of bodies inside the ground was similar, but for the League match, all the season ticket holders were counted, whether there or not, whereas in the cup, it was tickets sold for that game?

I am in agreement that empty season ticket holders were counted in the attendance, as many clubs do.
It is not something I agree with as it is very misleading. I think the actual attendance was around 500-1000 less than what was announced.
Nevertheless a great crowd and atmosphere!

I agree Keith I think there was less bodies there than Preston.
However after the game I have never seen a stream of people heading down regent road after a game, but that was prob a lot of wed fans going back to the prom.

With the reduced away stand capacity and seats that can't be sold due to segregation and restricted views we probably have a capacity of about 5600-5700.

Im that case you could only fit in another 200-300 and there was enough space for that and a lot more.

Probably less than 5000 actually there but will have included all tickets sold/allocated. Maybe a few hundred unsold.
