SR's thoughts following the game struck the right kind of tone. No need for criticism which some managers would possibly have done.

The result wasn't what we wanted but as SR said it gave players further minutes in their legs whilst the younger lads did themselves proud as SR was more than delighted with their performances which argues well for their future.

It would have been nice to have progressed a wee bit further in this competition but the league is our priority and this cup is nothing more than a distraction.

Noticed that there was no McPake involved even on the bench which would suggest an injury or even a call back by Rangers....
