So does Robbo go with the players that got us there or does he put the new boys in?

I think I would play the new keeper because he has experience of big games what with playing in cup finals and internationals. I think I would leave out the new CB for now and stick with Gibson and O'Connor at CB.

Carson
R.McLaughlin O'Connor Gibson Leigh
Ayuga S.McLaughlin Toums Wildig
Cole Obika

Unless we go 5 at the back although we don't seem to defend any better when we do.

Would agree with the above assuming that Carson has got International clearance to play. Tough on Kyle but the goalkeeping position has been an on going problem all season.

Didn't realise that Kyle once played for Dundee United....

I'd go super defensive and just try and keep the score down.

Carson
Cooney - McLaughlin - O'Connor - Gibson - Leigh
McLoughlin - Toums - Wildig - McCalmont
Stockton

4 in the middle in a sort of diamond probably.

I'd love us to just stick with our 4-3-3 and have a go, but I can't see that happening! Conte is 99% likely to be playing a back three as he always does, so I think Robbo will probably want to match it. Possibly something like this:

Carson
O'Connor-Bedeau-Gibson
McLaughlin-McLoughlin-Toums-Wildig-Leigh
Stockton-Ayunga

I should think he'll go with Carson to give him a game to get some 'bonding' in with the defence in front of him.

For what it's worth I think Wildig has to start. They will badly need people who don't panic on the ball.

Play our best side and let them worry about us! Hopefully their spy was there at the Doncaster game and left at half time! :D it is a rare experience for League 1&2 players to play at Premier league stadiums so they should be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their efforts in previous rounds.

also out of respect for his service, must have been with us a good 5 years now, in his historic cup tie.

for me its about game management, play for pens, start time waiting from the first minute, invite challenges then go down play acting in order to get their players booked sent off, play narrow and pack the midfield, basically stop Spurs playing football.

Agree we should play our best team and need a bit of quality to try and keep the ball. Toums and Wildig have to play and Abika should be given a start upfront with Stockton.

We need confident players Sunday that won't get nervous on the big stage. We might still get comfortably beat but let's see if we can at least get to half time and still be in with a chance.

That isn't the way we do things at our club.

Previous previous management liked us timewasting! Playing not to lose, keep it tight etc...
