Defender Scott Wootton's contract with the Shrimps has been terminated at the request of the player and his agent.

didn't see this coming, experienced at our level, and comfortable on the ball.

Did an alright job at times, but ultimately we need a defender who is a bit more rugged and physically dominant to partner AOC, so his departure makes a bit more room in the squad and on the wage bill to help with that.

Works well for us in that regard, and also it's a cracking move for him. Good luck to him!

Stayed on his feet and read the game well, in many ways very similar to Ockers but not quite as cultured. So we need someone to win the ball and be more vocal alongside Him, so suffered from being a copycat really. Alongside a nasty ball winner, he will do well. Good luck in Wellington.

Interesting to note the H on Him. Are we getting divine help now? We might need that tomorrow!
