Bolton throwing coins at our keeper and nothing done. Bolton a disgrace. Do anything to get something from the game. Sure the EFL will roll over and have their bellies tickled as we are only little old Morecambe.

FROM KAREN BAINES ( Who’s getting the flack)

Right for all you fans this is what really happened myself and Santa sit behind the dugout. After the Bolton fans threw a missle at our goalkeeper and ref stopped play there manager shouted it was a f....king disgrace whereby Santa replied your right mate you are a disgrace. One of their substitutes stood up and told Santa to shut the f...k up and obviously Santa told him to sit down and shut up he proceeded to then say to Santa if you don't shut up I am gonna come over there and knock you out He also told his manager that Santa was spitting at him which was a lie who then told the ref, who then told the security. The sub still continued to have a go at Santa and when I told him to shut up he said shut the f...k up you slag which was heard by everyone around us before security came to escort us out for no reason at all. Under no circumstances were we ever racist, never have been racist or condone racism in any shape or form and feel totally let down.

Who are the EFL going to believe ?

This is corroborated by numerous others who were sat in the area and have given accounts on social media. No one heard any form of racial comment made, apart from it would appear Evatt who has stormed onto the pitch and got the game suspended. Little surprise when his team were down to ten men and under the cosh thereby giving them time for a breather and reorganisation. I know who I believe and it ain't that piece of work Evatt.

Notwithstanding that we should never have let them back into a game which in large part we dominated. We still have a certain naivety to our game at times.

Well, we've had probably the longest time being spoken about on The Football League Show, and it was for all the wrong reasons.

I've watched a 'fan's video' from today. The thing that concerns me the most was Steven Robinson's reaction, where he appeared incensed and appeared to be looking up at our fans. If he heard something, then there will be no further arguments or denials from us.

If there was racist abuse, then that individual could ultimately cost us our League One position, as the Football League could well impose a points deduction. Again, if there was such abuse, it won't make any difference to them, as they will rightly be facing a very lengthy ban.

If Karen & Santa really have been mistreated in this way, and I was too far away to hear anything, but find it credible, then perhaps threaten Evatt with a law suit for defamation/slander unless he publicly apologises and admits he fabricated the racism allegation. Perhaps if there's CCTV coverage a lipreader could verify what was said.

Looks like they made full use of that extra time?

The press are sat yards away from this incident, I wonder if any of them heard any racist abuse? If not, then they need to say so. Equally, if they heard Bolton players & staff swearing at Morecambe fans, then they need to say so.

If someone who follows Morecambe was racially abusive, then I hope there is evidence provided to the police and the individual is dealt with severely.

However... if the Bolton manager has manufactured a situation in order to give his players a ten-minute rest, to recover and then come back in to the game, then he needs drumming out of football.

Bolton thugs were a disgrace. Bolton as a club are a horrible, cheating, loathsome bunch.

I'm posting this because it has been posted openly on Facebook:

Grant Bruce stated that he was attacked after the game and tipped out of his mobility scooter.

What a butch of low life Bolton fans that can attack someone who is in a mobility scooter and flip them
Out of it ten stand there and laugh at them
Yes I was set upon after the game on my way home

This is a hate crime. I really hope he reports it to the police and it is investigated as a hate crime.

Evatt said in his interview he was getting abuse from the supporters for the majority of the game , how would he know he spent the majority of the game with his face up against the 4th official moaning about every kick of the ball , Horrible Horrible man !

The more I read and watch, I just feel we have been shithoused by Ian Evatt. It is a horrible allegation and hopefully for us as a club, they turn out to be unfounded. If they aren't, then the club has to come down as hard as possible on the people found guilty of using the slurs. It does look like Evatt(a well known Prick) played the situation brilliantly and influenced everything. I hope the FA investigate him running on to the pitch at least once.

Their horrible fans taking the moral high ground has been hard to swallow. They were nothing more than a mob. Again, I hope the FA investigate them, it was borderline hoolaganism.

The club was woefully short in its organisation yesterday. I stood on the BW pointing out Bolton fan after Bolton fan entering the terrace, they stood out like sore thumbs. Groups of lads all standing together. I think there were 3 or 4 stewards who had no chance when people stood toe to toe chucking punches.

Letting both sets of fans out at the same time was criminal. The policing afterwards was a farce. I had to shield my lad against the wall on Westgate bridge as we were called Racist Bastards by the Bolton fans who were also picking fights with the moving traffic. It was a shambles.

The sad thing is it takes the shine off our lads who were brilliant.

If like Evatt claims, it was going on from minute one, why did it take so long for the ref to stop the play? Just watched the EFL show, no mention of the bottles, coins etc been thrown at our keeper and that the remarks were alleged.

Also I second that it was a poor decision by whoever to let both sets of fans out at the same time as it was just asking for trouble.

Would Evatt have reacted the way he did had Bolton been winning. Don't think so. Game would have carried on as normal and then any alleged racist comment would have reported to the ref after the game.
This stinks.

I think, because last night, I was concentrating on the allegation of racial abuse and the very real assaults by the thugs who follow Bolton, I'd not really thought about it, but if Evatt is telling the truth, then there will be clear, visible evidence of spitting. If this was indeed brought to the attention of the fourth official and stewards, then it is utterly disgusting, and I'm inclined to believe him about the racism too.

On the other hand, if there was no evidence of spitting shown to officials, then he's obviously lying, which calls in to question the rest of his allegations. I am confident that the Morecambe fans in the vicinity would have come forward if they had heard someone being racially abusive. Indeed, they may have done so. But if the only person to have heard this was Evatt himself, AND no evidence of spitting as he claims, then he, himself, needs to be investigated.

From minute 1 Evatt was in the face of the 4th official and it was the 4th official who called it to the attention of the referee resulting in Evatt being spoken to. Unfortunately Evatt continued to question every decision and had the referee taken decisive action then he should have booked Evatt at the very least.

Like others in C Section above the home dugout it was clear for all to see how Evatt was reacting to every decision that went against his team.

The guy I sit next to had said ages bfore the incidents that if their manager didnt cool down he was heading for a heart attack, he had been at it all game with the fourth official, if proven to be false accusations by him (possibly difficult to do so) then he shoud be banned from the game, also their player who alledgedly said he had been racially abused, lets face it if a fan was proven to make those remarks they would quite rightly be banned.....can't have one rule for one etc...oh unles of course you are the PM

In reply to some of the comments above this was my view of the situation. Myself and some friends had a table in hospitality and our seats were in C1 about 40 feet from and in-line with the top of the dugout.

Some Morecambe fans were on Evatt’s back calling him a baby and does he want his dummy back and so on. Most of it pretty tame. However, I couldn’t hear those by the dugout wall. My sense was it just people winding him up and he made no reaction.

After the goal was when it all kicked off. One Bolton player took offence at something that was said and Evatt joined in. When the bottle incident happened and there was a break in play and I believe two fans had already left something was said and the whole bench got angry with four Bolton players coming around the side stairs to get to the person.

At this point Evatt walked on to the pitch and told the referee what he believed happened and, I presume, that he was taking his players off.

If I had to speculate I would say that there was what the Bolton players believed to be one racist comment by one individual. Evatt seized on the opportunity to take his players off and reset and it worked. However, if it is proven true then that one supporter is ultimately responsible for the incident and allowed Bolton to take advantage of it to our detriment. Stephen Robinson recognised that and the damage it caused by his fury at fans.

The Bolton fans were utterly disgraceful but that has to be seen as separate to this incident. One does not justify or in any way mitigate the other.
