He is actually quite open and comes across as grateful to be back at a club where he is loved. Oh and his fave late goals are fun too.

Think I'm right in saying g that this is the first time we've heard our manager open up about his thinking g of how the game under his direction should be played.

Thanks Freeze for getting Derek to be so open and it shows how dedicated he is and a determination to bring more success to our club.

I'd like to think that Derek feels that our club is like home and that he's here for the long haul this time around

He comes across really well and now understand the low possession a lot more it's not long ball but getting the ball up the pitch as quick as possibly. Also if you have two strikers it just means the 2 CB's can defend them out the game so it's better to have an extra midfielder to create chances.

As P/T says, it was very interesting hearing Dereks take on tactics etc.

He is certainly an intriguing character and it would be good to maybe get him down to a fans forum/Q&A evening in the future?

Good to hear Derek so open and explaining his ugly football perfectly. Robbo hoodwinked us with his champagne football and jargon but won very few games of football. Derek wants to win games and does at all costs but wrongly gets branded with the ugly football tag by fans that think you have to pass it 756646 times before you score.

Hopefully the fans who publicly stated they didn't want Derek back and the ones who were on about boycotting have been won over this interview.
