Don't know if I can stand much more of this. Several times I've given up hope only for it to look as if we have a chance and then the hope is crushed again! I really don't want it to depend on the last game. I'll be within driving distance of Morecambe when we play Sunderland but have a very important reason for not being able to attend

The next 2 are the key games for us.
Charlton and Portsmouth both with nothing to play for.
Get the rub of the green for a change and we could win 3 out of the 4.

I desperately want to believe that we can do it, but looking who we have to play it will be the greatest escape of all times if we somehow manager to do it.
Both MK Dons and Sunderland are within touching distance of promotion so neither of these two games will be nothing other than a back to the wall performance if we are to get anything out of either game.
Charlton and Portsmouth are the only likely games that we can get some points from but we will still rely on other teams in the relegation scrap to fall short.
If we go down the one game that has sealed our fate was the Bolton away game and their last minute equalizer which had we got the 3 points wold have made a world of difference to our run in.
It's not looking good.....

I don’t really think that you can ever pin disappointment of possible relegation on any one game out of 46, as any game you lose or draw significantly contributes to the outcome. I would also add that I am 100% sure that all the supporters of every other team who have or who will relegated or miss out on a championship, will bemoan not getting their share of “the rub of the green” Each and every club will have its own justifiable(to them) bad luck story. You just have to hope we can summon one last massive effort for 4 games

Agree with you with regard to luck (you have to make your own luck) and decisions (every team supporters moan about the refs)

we should go away to Charlton this Friday like its a play off final.
4 points should be enough over the next 4 games.

All this teams have nothing to play for is nonsense
Cambridge and Cheltenham both beat us recently
Players are playing for futures and contracts at clubs this time of year so every game as something on it
We have the hardest run in of the bottom 6 that's for sure

Totally agree. We should turn up like it is our cup final.

Sky bet odds, to be relegated:
Doncaster (1/250)
Wimbledon (2/5)
Gillingham (8/11)
Morecambe (8/11)
Fleetwood (9/4)
I have no idea what to hope for when Fleetwood play Gillingham and Wimbledon but I think I'd be tempted to put all my eggs in one basket and hope Fleetwood win those games and we focus on finishing above the others.
I struggle to see us getting any points away from home so fear we may rely on getting something against Pompey and/or Sunderland which may be a tough ask.

Fleetwood have the easier run-in and a game in hand, so initially you'd lean towards wanting them to win and put Gillingham to bed.
However, their game in hand is against Sheff Weds who will probably see that game as a chance to seal a play-off spot, Gillingham have much more momentum results wise, and Fleetwood just seem to have an amazing habit of shooting themselves in the foot.
Blew a 3-0 lead against Portsmouth to draw 3-3 in the last minute, blew a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 against Burton (the Brewers' only win in ages) and missed some good chances before blowing a lead and having that calamitous red card against Accrington on Saturday. They seem capable at times Fleetwood, but really do have a massive habit of imploding.
Think we need to see what results come out of Good Friday before knowing who the more preferable winner from that crucial Gills vs Fleetwood game would be.

You will be reet.
Gillingham are the ones you need to have half an eye on, Harris is not a bad Manager in these circumstances but I would still bet on DA being the better of the two.
Wimbledon have been shocking since before Christmas and amazed they still have hope to stay up, Charlton are all over the place they seem to be putting a shift in for the Manager but then the next game look like they are on the beach. Fleetwood look like they will sleep walk to safety but see them struggling next year as well.
If I was a betting man I would put money on Wimbledon and Gillingham to take up the remaining places, Doncaster have only the board to blame for where they will finish, and they properly don't like us but there are a few like that we have some bridges to mend from our previous owners time at the club.

It was handball and not violence so I think just 1 match.

Will it not be deemed as a professional foul?

I would have thought that on watching it yesterday he would have got sent off for denying, by hand ball, a goal scoring opportunity

Which is only one match suspension?
Cheltenham v Gillingham is a HUGE game for us. If Cheltenham win, then we need Fleetwood to beat them too. They may not pick up another point all season. A draw with Fleetwood could be the worst outcome for us. We *COULD* go in to the final game of the season simply needing to match or better Gillingham... they lose 0-3, we lose 0-3... they win 3-0, we'd have to win 3-0 too.
Squeaky bum time!

I can see MFC Wimbledon and Gillingham all getting another four points. That would mean us staying up by the skin of our teeth. Five or six points and we will definitely survive. Need a win from the next two for sure but this will probably go down to the last game. Exciting times

Rotherham looked like they would be conformably promoted but their form of late means that every one of their final games means so much for them - could play into our hands that they may need to win at Gillingham on the final day.

Ironic that a similar situation could involve both ourselves and Sunderland....

Yeah definitely but I think that was always likely to be the case for us, I wonder if Rotherham had maybe expected to have wrapped up automatic promotion by then, as I'm sure most people also felt, it's still in their hands but they need a near perfect run in.

Hard to see Gills getting another point. They have Pompey away and Rotherham at home.
Fleetwood can see them losing to Sheff Weds and Bolton. The key game is Fleetwood v Wimbledon. Assuming Fleetwood lose to Sheff Weds and Bolton then a draw would be ideal for us.
But lets go to MK and win or at least get a point.

Don't think Gills will get anything out of Rotherham as they may be trying to head the league but they could conceivably get a draw at Pompey which would not be enough.
