Good luck from Barrow fans

Interesting to see on the Barrow forum a few of their fans hoping we stay up and they get us in the EFL Trophy next season rather than the league. I think the flypast with the banner wishing them a welcome return to the EFL last season has gone down well.

Tasty FA Cup tie would be good next season. When was the last time we played them in a competitive match with fans?

We expect a banner flown over our ground wishing us well as a superficial showing of love and appreciation to reciprocate Morecambe FCs previous hospitality when you got back into the league. Mere words are futile.

On a serious note, I was actually pleased Barrow survived. A shame that Oldham were relegated.... Cheatenage dodged another bullet!

98-99 wasn’t it?

We played at yours in August and then the return fixture at Holker Street in September.

We actually played in the League Cup in the December too. You won 2-0 at CP in front of 567 So that’ll be it.

Yes, I remember that being fun. Was it 3-2 Morecambe? Started watching Morecambe in 1992 and that was the first Barrow match I saw. Remember the graffiti in our away end said 'come on you Barrow bastards!' Went to Holker Street a few seasons ago for a friendly. We were poor and lost.
