Carlos Mendes-Gomes on loan...???

Probably will never happen but a loan deal for Carlos to give him some meaningful game time would be superb as I can't see Luton giving him an outing in the Championship. Such a waste of talent just to be a squad member with little expectations of meaningful appearances whereas experience in EFL1 would give him a meaning full platform going forward.

Luton fans think CMG will go out on loan....if Arthur Gnahoua leaves CMG is an ideal replacement in my eyes.... ;)

Thoughts any one.... :?: :?: :?: :?:

Would be a great addition to the squad

Carlos ... King Cole ... Connolly

Would be a very decent front three

If only ????

he could struugle in L1, he’s not played a lot of Football in the last 12 months, so he’ll be well rusty.

Thought for some time it would be great to have him back, i feel like hes in nomansland , earning a few quid but not playing, can't be a great position to be in.
Coming back here would be so different for him

From a hero at Morecambe to, err, sitting on the bench

He was never going to be a 1st team regular for Luton, it is a huge jump up from league 2. He is still a raw talent, and looking back, he should have stayed with us for another season at least before making the jump.

I think there's another perspective that gets overlooked - that Luton want to keep him at the club and work on training him to be ready for Championship football. Pretty sure Nathan Jones indicated this when explaining why Carlos wouldn't be going on loan in January, and there is something to be said for training with the club rather than going out on loan for the sake of it.

I hope he gets his chance with Luton this season. It was a good deal at the time to a good club and I'm sure there is some kind of plan for him. That said, if the plan involves him coming back here on loan then I certainly wouldn't say no!

Little Shrimp saved me writing exactly that!

Reading the Luton Forum there seems to be a growing opinion that Carlos should go out on a season loan to an EFL1 club as the system they play does not fit Carlos's game.

Would be an ideal loan for us in my opinion.... :)

If it happened, it would be disastrous, though, wouldn't it?

Why would it be disastrous... :?: :?: :?:

As it stands Carlos is nothing more than making up the bench at Luton assuming that he even gets that chance......a loan to us in EFL1 would be ideal in my opinion...so can't see how that would be a disaster for all parties concerned..... :o :o :o

Well, because you would be claiming credit for it and you would be on here describing how your idea / suggestion was taken up by the club and how you were "So pleased that (you) posted the original message and others were able to act on it."......
Yes, it would encourage you but It would drive us all crazy. :D
