Welcome back Jimbo....

Welcome back Jimbo....

Not since those salient days of Jimbo have I seen such a commanding and dominant aerial performance from a Morecambe No5 than that of our MoM Farrend Rawson.

He was simply outstanding and alongside a rejuvenated Ryan Delaney our new central defensive [partnership argues well for the coming season.

Although the overall performance of this new DA team was far from perfect this after all was the first time the team had played as a collective in a competitive match so I can forgive the lack of creative team work but there is plenty for DA to work on and improve as we go further into what will be a very testing and demanding season.

Midfield certainly lacked composure and it was only the introduction of new singing Taylor did we see glimpses of what to expect going forward.

Like a few others I prefer to see Gibbo at full back as for me Melbourne's performance asked a few questions as did that of Fane who suffered form the presence of Gibbo as a defensive midfielder and was unsure of his role in the team.

DA was satisfied with the performance and we know that he tells it as it is, so if he was ok with it hten we should be knowing that their is far more to come from the lads.

More than happy with the point..... :) :) :)
