Must admit, I thought the same. The RNIB recommendation is 12 point, sans-serif font. They also make recommendations regarding colours that go together or, to avoid. From an 'accessibility' & 'Equality Act' point of view, these recommendations should be met to comply with legislation.
I think it would be a good idea to make the programme available to purchase on-line, to download as a PDF. If it was made available from [say] an hour before kick-off, I think a reasonable number of people who couldn't get to the game would buy one, while a similar number as now, would still get one at the match... ...and us old gits could magnify it to a size we can read!
