Good game so far. Only one clear chance, for Fleetwood. Hot!

Good game. Hunter hit the post after dreadful backass and we came close a couple of times, with a series of corners at the end of the first half. More of the same please!

Tough game. We should have gone 2-0 in the first half, but sitting back too deep in the second. I can only recall one half chance for us in the second half, the rest was Fleetwood. A draw was probably fair.

Why so negative at home.? Defies any logic.

26% possession at home is pathetic..

If DA is happy with that performance then we can expe t a season of misery and terrible home games.

Ignore the above post, I don't think that there has ever been a more reactionairy supporter.

A good battle in horrible conditions between two sides that have improved from last season. We were toothless up front but should have been out of sight at Half Time and had another chance with Dillan late on.
I don't think we have ever looked as solid as we do now. Rawson is fantastic, what a signing. Ripley looked better.

Massive overaction. We could have been 2 or 3 up if chances were taken. Look solid at the back but missing something in the middle.

Anyone know where Stockton was?

Thank God for your post Berlin. I had my reply to CC's tripe ready but you've saved me the trouble. DA has a way of playing which we are all aware of. From where I'm standing he's brought us success beyond what we could have imagined and we were very unfortunate not to get 3 points today. We are still generally moving in the right direction although Cole's anticipated defection isn't going to help the cause.

Still we move on and if Obika can get up to speed soon, he may be a ready made replacement. Didn't do much today but total lack of prior match time and brutal conditions probably didn't help.

So 26% possession at home in a local Derby against an average team is acceptable. Fine on our travels but at home?

I doubt those who are not regulars will be happy with that.

Cheer up. It could be worse you could be a Man U fan

But for an inspired Fleetwood keeper and the woodwork we would have won comfortably. Never fails to amaze me how a keeper like De Gea today can literally throw one in but league 1 keepers are usually faultless. Against us anyway.

I'm a regular and very happy with today's performance. I don't care about stats, it's the performance that counts. We played the Derek way and by the end of the first half we could/should have been three nil up. Second half they came at us but we still looked comfortable early on and their keeper pulled off another great save from Connolly to keep Fleetwood in the game. I enjoyed the game from start to finish (apart from their goal). It's three home games unbeaten now, how many times in recent years could we say that.

Ditto. Taylor looks a player and the lads ran themselves to water today and deserved a win. Don't think they deserve slagging off at all!

I wasn't stood there thinking bloody hell we have only had 26% of the ball. Fleetwood were a good side with a Manager with fresh ideas and I thought we competed and should have won. A good battle played out in intense heat. Credit to all players for giving their all in that.

should of been 3 up at H/T easily.

I find it hard to believe that they had 74% of the possession. And if they did, so what? Considering the chances created and the way that the game played out, I feel we should have won.

The one thing I am a bit unhappy about is the way we played for a point in the latter stages of the game when we should have been pushing for the win. Two points dropped IMO but we keep the faith and remember it’s only our third league game.

The possession stat is nonsense. It’s purely the total number of passes each team made divided by the total number of passes in the game. Therefore centre half’s passing the ball between each other counts more than a long cross field pass. Holding on to the ball counts for nothing even though it’s possession

Does Derek suffer a bit of the Jim Bentley's that he is always worrying about the opposition. Every pre match interview he talks about how good a team our next opponents will be. I'm still not having it that Shrew will be a top team and we needed two holding midfielders. Shrews and Fleetwood are two games that we should be looking to get wins from to stay up.

Paying respect to the opposing side and Manager is pretty standard in interviews, i doubt Derek is the kind of Manager that actually panics.

Look at the League table? Really? 3 games in? Everybody knows that you don't start checking the table till you are 10 games in.

3 games into the season and some fans are already panicking !!!!

Look at the bottom 6 currently - includes Oxford, Barnsley, Wycombe and Mk Dons (who would have thought that)

Bolton on Tuesday will be an interesting game - more pressure on them than us in my opinion because their fans will be expecting to beat us easily (we might just shock them again like we did twice last season) - They also have two players suspended including Santos at the back

All games this season will be hard fought, surely everybody appreciates the standard of this league now? We are in a league where teams are spending millions on fees and thousands on wages. We tried to go toe to toe last season and it was exciting but we shipped nearly 100 goals.

If you can't see the early improvements this season then maybe football isn't for you. Derek has started from the back and in Rawson he has found our best Centre back since Jim or Mark Hughes. Donald Love is more of a defender than what we had and Melbourne fits the system well. Ripley is an upgrade.

Jake Taylor for me is the most complete midfielder i have seen in a Morecambe shirt, he can do everything in midfield, defend, attack, run with the ball, head the ball and reads the game well.

I'd rate Rawson above Hughes. And Delaney looks like a different Delaney to the one we had last season. They have very quickly developed an understanding. I'm still not entirely convinced by Love & Melbourne, and would like to see Gibson & Cooney instead, with Bedeau in the middle of a back three, as I think both offer good defensive cover, but more going forwards too. That said, Love's pass for Connolly was sublime, and deserved a finish.

We've got a squad that probably cost less than £100k to assemble. Meanwhile, Ipswich spend a million pounds on just one of our ex-players, and then have the luxury of not even playing him for a full ninety minutes. Wouldn't we love to have a million pound player sitting on the bench?

Morecambe v Ipswich
Morecambe v Sheffield Wednesday
Morecambe v Derby

Could anyone have watched us in the 1980's and thought that would ever happen? I'm still dreaming!

Horwich v Morecambe on Tuesday, that's more like it!

Totally agree Keith ....

Look at our next 6 league games

Bolton (a)

Oxford (a)

Mk Dons (h)

Bristol Rovers (a)

Derby (h)

Sheff Wed (h)

Just proves how far we have come as a football club on and off the pitch - lets enjoy the ride (over 9000 people been to the first two home league games)

When i started watching years and years ago i don`t think we got that many in total over 22 games
