Horwich v Morecambe Predictions

Postby Keith » Sun Aug 14, 2022 10:37 am

It is going to be tough. Four games in, I've been wrong with four predictions, so I'm predicting a defeat, partly because it will be so difficult and partly because, if it is, at least I'll pick up some points in the prediction league!

1-0 defeat :(

Hopefully, I'll still be on zero points come next Saturday! 8-)

See the messages have already started on the Horwich message board ....

It’s important that we take all three points against Morecambe on Tuesday, and I’m slightly concerned about fatigue after yesterday’s exertions. We’re going to need Johnstone, Williams, Iredale et al to combat those shithouses.

Our first league win with a 2-1 victory over Bolton and a referee who will probably do all he can for them.

They are doing their nut about yersterdays Ref after he sent off Evatt and Santos. He send Santos off in our home game with them last season so they think he has an agenda. Strange breed that lot. Be interesting to see who the Ref is on Tuesday after the backlash.

I think we will sneak a win with a Derekball masterclass and that some fans will be fuming because of our low Xg and possession percentage.

Be interesting to see if Derek makes any changes for the Horwich game

Love Rawson Bedeau Delaney Gibson

Weir Fane Taylor

Hunter Obika

You'd drop our leading goal scorer???

Seriously, I'd keep Gnahoua in, he had a good game yesterday, and, obviously, got the goal, so make Weir fight to get back in. I'd like to see Cooney back, but that's not happening.

To be fair they were hard done by with that decision, and Santos being sent off at our place too honestly. However, refs at this level are generally poor, still seething at how we weren't given a penalty away there last season and honestly that probably wasn't the worst decision of the season. Greg Leigh rugby tackled after rounding the keeper at Doncaster was an absolute joke.

I avoid predictions as generally hopeless (I am a bookies dream).

I think the way DA will set up will make for an interesting game, hoping the weather has calmed down by then predicted to be a more normal heat. Got my ticket and looking forwards to a good game.

Port Vale will have fired them up as little after another suspect refereeing display, beside the moaning about Santos cards the last one he has to ne smarter and not give the referee the option to finally send him off and for it to stick this time. To be fair we had not really got into our stride when we lost the big lad. Good battle to save at least a point.

Hope you all have a nice trip and safe travels etc... 1-1 (mainly because I think DA is top drawer), kind of also hope that Cole was poorly at the weekend and not avoiding injury.

Evatt: “Unfortunately for Morecambe we have a magnificent squad of players and we can change it up and make sure we’re fully energised for Tuesday"

Unfortunately for Ian Evatt... regardless of the outcome, he'll still be Ian Evatt come Wednesday morning!
