Nice goal from Weir, picking up on a slip in defence. Phillips nearly scored a moment earlier after a lovely cross from Cooney.

Nice line-up. Phillips with another chance, after a lovely turn and shot.

Soft goal to concede. They attacked well, but I think the 'cross', was actually a poor shot, but their lad was alive to the chance and prodded in.

As I'm typing, Watts heading in from a good Taylor corner, a couple of minutes later.

Great game to watch.

Gibson with some superb passes and crosses. The latest one met by Phillips, but not enough power in the header.

That line up/formation looks better than what Derek has been going with the past few weeks.

Nice to see McLoughlin back in IMO I don't think Derek has got the balance right yet in midfield and he could do a lot worse than starting Mcloughlin in a league game.

Everton broke quickly, Rawson & Love could both have done better, but it was a good cross.

Not a great start to the second half, but I still like the football we're playing.

Looked like Love was booked while Everton were making a substitution? No idea what it was for?

O'Connor's turn to have a rush of blood to the head, or perhaps the blood ran away from it? Fortunately, this time Everton didn't punish us.

A great game of football, but also worthy of a mention, referee was only noticeable on the basis of being female. She's had an excellent game.

Even the penalty shoot-out was exciting! 7-6 for a bonus point. :D

Mayor's penalty was the best of the lot!

Thought the young lads all did well tonight,
Mayor's penalty was class, tho not sure how they would hold up against a physical L1 team but liked what I saw. First time I have seen us play to win from the outset. Cooney OK but imo beaten too easily for pace although makes up for it on other areas. We looked more solid with Gibbo and Bedeux.

I believe its 10k per win but I don't know if winning on penalties after a draw counts or not?

I think we will have won £10,000 last night even though it was on penalties.

Not sure if the Under 21 teams will receive money if they win games. Would seem wrong giving cheques to Chelsea , Man City , Man Utd etc.

The “Elite” clubs do not get any prize money, (don’t even think they get a share of the match receipts) and the penalties do earn you the prize monies
