Too early in the season to be looking at other results.

We need to start picking up wins and the odd draw and then we wouldn't need to worry about others.

Agree with the first sentence but not the second. All results from now on matter including the results of those around us.

I've been looking at others since we lost 3.0 in the first game at Peterborough, hoping someones goal difference was worse than ours and have been checking ever since.

All we ever do is look up and rely on others failures just like we did last season

I've been looking for a long time, trying to identify the four teams that are worse than us.
It's getting harder to see any.

Saturday is a massive game for us and a real 'six pointer' even though it is still October. Lose, and we will be cut adrift at the bottom, and probably have to go on a 'play-off' or even 'promotion' standard run at some point in the season to catch & pass four sides. Win, and we will see some hope returning. Play like we did against Ipswich and we can turn this around. Play like we did against Accrington, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood, Bristol Rovers, Milton Keynes... ...etc... and we will soon be able to stop looking at other results because they won't matter!

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Just looking at the form table. Cambridge are dropping like a stone , last 6 games 5 defeats and just 1 win but that win was against us ! MK Dons last 6 games 5 losses and 1 win although their win wasn't against us as that was earlier on. They have 3 points each from their last 6 games and we have 4 points from the last 6 games !

I can't see Milton Keynes continuing to be this bad (although carrying on until after the League Cup would be nice!) so I expect them to pull away at some point. Oxford & Wycombe would be expected to pick up too. Cambridge may well fall further. But, they are already nine points clear of us. That kind of head-start will take some closing.

Burton [+1 point]
Forest Green Rovers [+4]
Cheltenham [+7]
Lincoln [+7]
Bristol Rovers [+8]
Cambridge [+9]
Fleetwood [+9]

We need to pass four from those seven. Can't wait any longer to start our season.

It makes you realise how important the Cambridge game was. If we had beaten them like everyone else has been doing the 9 point gap would be 3. If we could play as well as we did last Saturday in future games we could pick up decent points. It's all ifs and buts !
