O/T TV make choices

We are looking to buy a new 43" TV as our existing used Sony is a wee bit outdated.

Have been recommended Samsung, LG, Panasonic and Hisense all 43" but such a minefield that simply haven't a clue which make to go for. :?

Can't justify more than £500 or OLED but QLED sounds about right... :?: :?: :?:

Not particular interested in one that has loads of add ons as picture and sound are paramount to us.

Some advice would be welcome.

Thanks.... :)

I have had an Hi Sense Tv for few years now and its been really good (never had any issues with picture or sound)

Would totally recommend an Hi Sense Tv anytime (great value)

I'd suggest a trip to Curry's and see, or more to the point, listen to some for yourself. I don't think there is a huge difference in quality for images, but the sound quality varies greatly.

I've got an LG, which is excellent. I'd recommend a 'smart TV' for 'catch up' on BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc over the internet, and Youtube etc too. You can then watch Derek's pre & post-match interviews on a big telly.
