Less than 50 tickets left in the bartercard as of this morning and less than 1000 around the ground. Big push from the club and I reckon we could get close to filling it.

It's now or never, if there was ever a time to show up and be counted, it's now.

Assuming that we do fill the stadium, with 5,000 home fans surely this will be the biggest 'home' attendance for a Morecambe game since 2001 vs Ipswich Town in the FA Cup..... perhaps potentially since 1962 vs Weymouth?

An I was there moment for sure - although unfortunately I won't be as things stand.

Fair play to the players and management for their efforts in recent weeks, when things started to look bleak against a backdrop of being paid late and the off-field shenanigans. Lincoln City are in brilliant recent form, but then again we have taken 7/9 and really it should've been three wins on the bounce.

Although we aren't in action this evening, there are some important fixtures to keep an eye on that will impact our chances of survival:

Barnsely vs Ipswich Town (could do with the Typkes winning, and keep their automatic promotion hopes alive heading into their weekend fixture vs MK Dons)
Bolton Wanderers vs Accrington Stanley
Oxford United (no win in 17) vs Cheltenham Town

IF things go our way this week, by 17:00 on Saturday our fate could be in our own hands - something that didn't seem possible after the defeat to Plymouth. UTFS

Time for that huge banner to have an outing I feel..... :D :D :D

Let's fill the away stand and then both ends can 'suck' the ball into the away net..... ;)

Pity we can't get a home end roof to away end roof tramline over the pitch to hang the banner from !

I know I keep mentioning the same game, but how many would we have had for the Daggenham rearranged game when Peter McGuigan made it free entry. The only place not full was the seated away area. Sorry I don't remember the year.

I think the gate that night was about 4500 !

We should get as many fans as we can, meet at the Boardwalk and march down Regent Road together! Make plenty of noise, drums, flares, the lot. Get to the ground and welcome the players and show them we are behind them! Would be nice to see some proper unity between us fans, young and old!

I think we sold out home areas a few times at CP. Last game, last league game, play offs etc. Its crazy that we moved to a new stadium with fewer spaces for home fans. 5000 home fans would be awesome but needs serious promotion to get the casuals out

Bartercard sold out, less than 600 tickets left in the ground.

That potentially means 5,000 home fans already with three days of sales to go. The club will continue to push via social media, but this fixture with everything at stake, sells itself.

Ground capacity 6,200 (was 6,400, but away end was reduced from 1400 to 1200)
Less Away Allocation -600
Less Remaining -600
Home sales/season tickets = 5,000 (balance)

The final game at Christie Park attracted a total crowd of 5,300 with a small away following, the play-off vs Dagenham less than 5,000. This will be the biggest 'home' attendance since 1962 (awaits somebody to correct me using Potted Shrimps - my copy is in storage)

Did the ground not sell out against Sunderland last season? Attendance is noted as 5,831, does that not make our true capacity closer to that or was there a reason for a reduced capacity?

Yes, or more or less. I think realistically the ground only holds about 5900. Hundreds of seats have been lost to segregation and restricted view. The away end now has a capacity of less than 1200 too due to space at the back. If Lincoln sell their allocation though we should have an official attendance of at least 5500. Let's hope all seat ticket holders turn up!

The away end has 1,200 capacity - it was 1,400, but was reduced due to a request from the then ground safety officer. The away allocation (1,200 + 600 seats) has sold out numerous times since we have been in League One.

Club have now requested season ticket holders who can't make the game to return their seasons tickets to the club. Really pleased to see how proactive they're being in trying to fill the place. Going to these lengths too, they could be expecting to sell out. Wonder if they've given any tickets away?

A big atmosphere could be massive for our chances in this game. I love the idea that we do something before the game, some kind of greet for the players?

Just hope that we can provide a performance that delights a large crowd because on other occasions when we've almost filled the ground the play has left a lot to be desired.

Could be the very first time our young loanees have faced such a pressure situation..... :!: :!: :!:

I thought the same about not performing in front of big crowds…. But, relatively speaking, we play in front of big crowds most weeks these days. Gone are the days when 2k was a good gate for us. Hopefully that continues to be the case.
