There are a couple of videos (so far) of the Mazuma pitch being dug up and relaid on this channel by someone who works for the contractors. Seems a shame as it looked great to me but what do I know?

That will be costing a few quid.

Think all teams that can afford do it every year but surprised we have.

If they are taking the pitch up in the same manner as they did Christie Park. There could be a few quid to be made for the club out of that turf.

They don't lift the old turf they use a machine that shreds the top 1" or so of the surface and take it away hencethe pile of soil etc in the side car park.

The new pitch is put down as it was last season by a professional sports specialist ground company who many clubs including Premiership use.

Last season the ground playing surface held up very well throughout the season which was in no small measure to the work of our excellent grounds manand his team.

Worth every bit of expenditure for me as it provides the ideal surface on which to play EFL football.

Looks like they have been putting strips of gravel beds in near the main stand to help with drainage on the part which is always in the shade.
