Was this interview before the news about 'the prospective owner' looking to buy into Wigan 'cause if it was then I can understand that there is still no confirmation or otherwise about him taking the reigns at OUR club.... :?: :?: :?:

Generally a good insight into where we are as a club at the moment.... :)

Thanks fellas.

Listened to this last night - great interview.

I think Ben does an amazing job as CEO. He speaks very clearly, and comes across as a very transparent, professional person. He doesn't just say what he thinks the supporters wants to hear. He understands football, and the business/opportunity side of things and hence is probably the best hire the club has made in recent years.

He is right - we have come a long way in the period since he arrived. Until he did the operational side of things was a chaotic shambles of small departments operating independent of one another, waiting round for external board members to come back to them with a decision.

I particularly like when he mentions about the club shop and ticketing - these being a service that supporters expect, but when you look at the cost vs relative revenue they generate its probably something that wouldn't have been invested in previously.... the club shop now is great, and I don't really hear many people moaning that they struggle to get tickets online through the website as was previously the case..... heaven for bid, I am no longer worried about sitting in a queue for hours looking at that pissing cat as was the case for the home play-off tickets ;)
