Football teams are just money sinks. I don't think there's any way it happens as much as I'm desperate for us to find a benevolent owner who actually has some money to spend.
I don't think it would happen either, but I doubt if Fury has a day to day involvement in his drinks company, so if anything, it would be even better if he was the owner, as he probably wouldn't be interested in actually running the club. But, the publicity for the club would be huge. The difference getting a few live games would make to the club's finances, on its own, would be transformational.
And yes, football clubs are money sinks, so having someone who loves the town, who can actually afford to put cash in, would be incredible.
As I say, I doubt if it would ever happen, but if Tyson Fury did buy the club, I'd be pleased. Actually, right now, anyone decent would be a good start. Was Sarbjot Johal at the game yesterday, or did he go to Wigan?
