Two trialists - one starting, one on the bench. Will see if I can find out who they are…

Won't be Louis Moult
He's signed for Dundee United today

Only Jake Taylor and Charlie Brown missing.
Must be concerns about Taylor as he was out for most of last season as well.

Line-up.
Why "S" Moore? Is there another 'Moore'?

Port Vale fans did say Taylor was injury prone
Can't afford to be carrying many injuries this season with a smaller squad

At this stage I think I’d be reasonably happy if we ended up signing both Davenport and Agard.

What I meant was, why has he got an initial, but nobody else has?

Anyone remember hapless excuse for a goalkeeper Paul Moore who Morecambe signed briefly (very, thankfully) back in the 1990/91 season..... he went on to give many years quality service to Southport.
Well, except when they played Morecambe.... (ATS 93/4 Trophy Final @ Burnden, FA Trophy match at Christie.... etc etc !!)

Was a much more promising performance last night. I'd partially put it down to the conditions, it was raining quite a bit and the pitch wasn't very even down at Warrington but Haig avenue was of a much higher quality I'd say.
Standouts for me were Davenport, Yann, Mayor, Mellon and Slew
