Excellent start to the season. If we continue winning we'll continue getting the crowds. Great to se so many have stuck with us.

Great crowd.
Accringtons Andy Holt must be pulling his hair out. He's given them a great facility to watch games but only 2k home fans turned up today.

Decent crowd today and a huge turn out from the Saddlers which helped. I guess if we'd played them later in the season with both teams maybe in mid table then they'd have brought maybe a third of the number who travelled today. So all in all a good time to play them financially speaking.

I thought that scraping 4,000 would be a great crowd so 4,600 is brilliant. Hopefully we can retain these fans.

Unbelievably we got more than we averaged in L1.

forest green only managed 1,936 could see them struggling in this league like last season

We have Bradford soon and they usually sell all their full allocation so maybe a first 5,000+ EFL 2 crowd at the Mazuma Mobile.

Accy didn't fair much better with just over 2000 and significantly the lack of away fans as no Newport fans behind the away end goals.

The difference being that FG have a very wealthy benefactor in Dale Vince. Would imagine the funding will be provided if required to keep them in the league.

Probably more worrying for Accy. Only five minutes to Ewood Park and Turf Moor. Burnley haven't started yet so that will no doubt remove more of the part timers from Accys crowd once they do. However they also have a benefactor in businessman Andy Holt. Whilst probably not in Dale Vinces league he has put a lot of money Accys way over the years.

Brilliant crowd, really got behind the team and I think gave us the extra push to nick the winner.

Highest EFL2 home gate since the move to the Mazuma :?:

I thought the highest gate for an EFL2 home game was the semi final 2nd leg v Tranmere when we went on to Wembley to get promotion to EFL1.....could be wrong... :?: :?: :?:

Wasn't that limited to 1500 due to the Pandemic? It would have been a capacity crowd no doubt. But it wasn't.

On reflection you are probably correct sir..... :D :D :D

How time passes and the pandemic seems like a lifetime ago....although my wife is still suffering from a lack of taste and smell due to the after effects of it..... :(
