Nice for Ollie Ras, who runs the U18s, to get a mention from Derek Adams. For those who aren't aware - Ollie grew up locally as a Morecambe supporter.... he played for the supporters teams that I organised and even scored in a supporters charity match held at the then Globe Arena.

I think its plain to see that the academy has progressed massively in the last 3-4 years; IMO the club were just paying lip service to it previously because they were able to get grant funding for operating one. Even though he is a complete twat, I think Stephen Robinson deserves some credit for implementing a proper structure in this area alongside the existing academy staff - its certainly since he joined, coupled with the boards GLOM plan, that the academy has improved in terms of fielding competitive sides, attracting better prospective talents, and ultimately producing players capable of making the giant leap from academy football into our first team where ultimately they can further develop and push the club forwards on and off the field when the time is right.
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!
