https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... portsmouthGo to the above and an explanation as to the sending off as well as video footage which shows the offence.
Not such a clear case in my opinion as Connolly's foot seems to land between the Colchester players legs who makes a meal of it.
Thoughts...

Oh..I don't know...it looked like he stamped down with his trailing leg as he ran off. A clear red card in my opinion...but others may and probably wlii, disagree...

That's why we haven't appealed it. They would never overturn that even if the Colchester player deserves an Oscar.

From that angle, definite red card. Connolly was hauled back, as he tried to stand up, but there is a clear stamp at the end.

We have plenty of cover at centre half so not too bad
Rawson
Badeau
Stokes
Tutonda
Even Songo could slot in there if needed

Rawson was fantastic last night, he looked like he was playing against kids!

Clear red unfortunately. Really stupid of Connelly.
He doesn’t make any contact with the ‘stamp’ and the Colchester player is faking it but a stomping motion like that will always result in a red.

Is that a 3 game ban then? I agree though, looks like a clear red, no complaints from me.
If it is 3 games then I'd expect Rawson to probably reclaim his spot for the foreseeable.
