Sutton United (A) Predictions

Sutton United (A) Predictions

Postby AndyReifman » Thu Oct 12, 2023 5:10 pm

Reminder, we're off this week due to Internationals, so next up is a trip to South London to face the mighty Sutton United.

Sutton are away to Doncaster this weekend as they attempt to make some ground on their hope for escaping the relegation zone.

Last I knew they played on an artificial pitch, which throws a bit of a fun change.

Predicting another 1 - 3 win for ourselves. I'm thinking we'll go 0-3 up then let in a sloppy goal near the end.

They thumped Walsall in their last home game, so they have potential to cause us damage, if we're not on it from minute one.

But, I think we've now got a team that IS on it from minute one, to minute 90+. Last season, we had some players (or a key player, to be more exact) who couldn't be arsed, which dragged everyone down. There is none of that now.

0-3

About time we moved on from all accusations etc and got on with this seasons excellent start and concentrated on that.

What went on is now history and keep churning out the same old comments is getting boring.... :!: :!: :!:

Unfortunately, this is a forum, where people, including me, can express opinions.

It still annoys me, that we've been relegated, when we probably would have still been a League One side if sulky-striking-non-striker had actually given a crap. It was last season, so hardly ancient history, and, in my opinion, one of the key differences between last season & this, is the excellent team spirit this year.

I think the majority are annoyed with what went on but it's history so I can't see the value in keep repeating how you feel.

I know of a number who sit near me don't feel the same disgust with Cole and put our relegation down to the squad not being up to it.....a fault firmly at the door of a certain Judas and a reluctance by the owner to provide DA with sufficient funds in January to bring in much needed quality.

This season's squad would in my and others opinions have been more successful and would not have been in a constant relegation battle.

We started to almost drag ourselves out of trouble once Mr Sulk realised, if he didn't start putting a shift in, he'd have no job offers. What else changed? The rest of the squad wasn't great, but playing with ten men until Christmas, was always going to be too much of a hill to climb.

Rather than continue to hijack the 'Prediction' thread, perhaps we can end with what we agree? Or, revise a Sulky-Sue thread from elsewhere.

0 - 0

I've been dreadful at this all season so far, so at least going for a nil-nil guarantees us some goals to look forward to.

5-1 win against Notts County on the first day and then only 1 win in the league since. They've conceded the most goals and looks like they score an average amount. Their away record is appalling and their home is only slightly better so we should be able to win this one.

I'll go for Sutton 1-2 Morecambe

Going to have to buck the general trend on this one and say them 2 us 1. Just to get back in the competition like 8-) . Sincerely hope I'm wrong and our great run continues!
