My first ever ‘big’ game at the age of 10. United v Sheffield Wednesday at OT. After 5 minutes Sir Bobby and George Best had both scored. Not a bad introduction to the big league.

RIP Sir Bobby.

Don't know about Mazuma/Globe, but he was a reasonably frequent visitor to Christie Park.

So how did that work out then?

Rest in peace Bobby, when he was at PNE, I was so glad he was a player manager, saw him hit a volley on a Tues night game from the edge of the box, like a cannon going off, goalie never moved till he picked it out of the net. I was 9 and had no interest football and his goal against Mexico in 66 gave me my love of football a 25 yard screamer, thank you
