I think ged is doing OK all things considered. We gave gone from having an experienced manager, two good coaches and Baz to just Ged and Baz. To keep picking up points is credit to our bare bones management and players

Ok but I think under Derek we wouldn't have thrown a 2 goal lead away today but saying that we wouldn't have been 2 up in the first place.

In the context, he's doing well I would think. Discounting Wrexham, which I don't think it's too fair to judge him on, personally, two great results, two good ones, two disappointing ones. Team seems cohesive and in parts of games, they play attractively (such as the first half yesterday). Chance to go up to 9th. if they win the game in hand. Given the club's ownership travails, this is a good effort.

It seems to me our passing game has developed under Ged but I wonder if he is too cautious when making any substitutions. He brought Mellon on yesterday when we had surrendered our 2 goal lead after being under the cosh for some time. An earlier introduction of Mellon might have taken some of the pressure off us before the second Bradford goal but its easy to be wise after the event. Given the turmoil off the pitch we are doing well and a season of survival in League 2 might be needed until the ownership is sorted out.

It would be foolish to think that the off field situation has not affected the management and team to a degree no matter hoes they deny it and the only result that I found it hard to take was the Newport one.
He's done OK so far. Good personality and wants to play the game in the right way. I'll judge him at the end of the season.

It's a huge learning curve for GB and one that I personally have complete faith in his ability to succeed.
The real test for GB will be the close season when he has to rebuild a squad capable of first holding its own in the league and then becoming a promotion contender. Hopefully he will have the continued assistance of our recruitment manager and the backing of his own back room team as well as the financial support of a new owner.
GB has come to us after a very successful period at Accy as their Academy and under 21 manager so it's hoped his skills in developing young players can be replicated with us.
Already his style of football is different from that of DA and will only get better on the eye as his charges adapt to the new regime.
Those players on loan will now have chance to learn a new way of approaching games which I'm sure will not escape the notice of their parent clubs. That for me will be very much in the minds of their respective loan managers.

Thing with Ged Brannan what's he going to be like in the transfer windows, will he have the same contacts and decision making Derek Adam's had, Derek was top notch at wheeling and dealing.

Derek was excellent in creating a team out of nothing. To create this team when he had hardly any players left from last season due to the club's financial situation was nothing short of miraculous. You cannot compare Ged with Derek on that score but Derek has gone and the financial scene looks no better so i suspect Ged is hoping to hang on to as many of our good loanees as possible as replacing them is going to be very hard. I think any manager we could afford would fair no better than Ged.
However, RR has instructed us all to be positive so let's assume that we'll keep those we have and, therefore, not need to recruit more than one or two.

Let’s give Ged some time, it matters not we have stalled, we have not gone backwards. Teams have just woken up that we are not the push over everyone thought we would be and we are now going to start playing everyone a second time, so the second half of a season can be so much harder than the first half. What I would say is three things:-
First we are missing Moore and is that the difference from the great beginning to the season we had and the dip we are in? That is not a slight on Smith it’s just my preference, Smith in a lot of ways kept Bradford out with two great saves first half.
The second is, are we because the on field team is relatively young, missing a number of savvy older pro’s that can marshal a game better. We have lost 2 of GB’s league games by only one goal and lost two winning positions to two draws, it’s hardly desperate but I think game management is one area we are not getting the rub we were at the beginning of the season.
Lastly the Third, what does Ged do in the January Transfer window? Does he go for other players to push for the playoffs? Or if we lose some, just replace them. Or does he take up the option of offering some players an extension on their one year contracts?
I would think of my 18 month contract and go for keeping some players for next season, there is quality and it needs to be kept. To me it is more important than tying to get out of this league. We DO NOT want to be releasing all our players again at the end of the season and having to start from scratch again like Derek had to this time.
GED’s doing ok and he will learn so much the rest of this season that will put him in good stead. The off field situation I think is having an affect, thankfully not too much and we should congratulate him as someone new to management for keeping that to a bare minimum. I for one think we should continue giving him our support.

Don't forget, Mellon had been in bed, sick, all week. I'm amazed he was on the pitch for as long as he was.

Couldn’t believe after his first match as caretaker against billionaire funded Wrecsam when we lost heavily and many of our so called fans were happy to write him off. Get real folks Ged is doing OK under very difficult circumstances! For me it’s superb if we remain in the EFL after starting the season as hot favourites for relegation! Support Ged and support the club.

Agree with Phoenix.
Will be happy if we just hold the ship steady around mid-table in L2 whilst the ownership problem gets sorted out. Once we have a decent new owner, Ged can build the team towards a promotion push in later seasons.
Ged has made a good start and will be learning a lot. We have a fairly decent L2 team, courtesy of Derek's superb recruitment - hope we don't lose too many (if any) of the better players in the transfer window. Going forward, Ged has good experience with developing young players.

We have to tie down the youngster on longer contracts and tie those players that someone may want to buy. I agree hopefully no one is recalled and no one is sold. Ged hopefully is backed if he needs to replace anyone. We need as I have said to back aged.
