Sounds to me as though he regrets leaving us for Ross County and admits that he didn't do his research into his new club as he should have done.

I know Derek left us twice, but I don't think too many Morecambe fans will be relishing his discomfort.
The ownership situation at The Mazuma was the driving factor for him bailing out and was understandable.
The recent comment he made about the state of Scottish football was ill-judged when he hadn't been back for 5 minutes and has probably alienated many up there, not least his own players. He has enough credit in the bank to get another appointment if it doesn't last long for him in Dingwall.
It's given Ged Brannan an opening and that's the man we need to get behind, most seem to be rooting for him.

Wonder how many fellow fans think that DA leaving opened the door for GB and a slightly more entertaining brand of football.... :?:

Whether it will bring success in the long term is unknown but for me whilst I was concerned about DA leaving I've been impressed with how GB has gone about his business in this transfer window and brought in a couple of experienced 'old' heads to help with the young guns that make up the majority of the team.

It wasn't until i did a wee bit of research background into Brandon Barker did I realize the quality and potential he had when younger and it was claimed that he become one of the very best players going forward.

Let's hope that he can rekindle some of that magic of his earlier days that will benefit all those around him....this and next season... :?:

:o :D

It was said that Greg Strong before he left had worked with Ged Brannan on identifying transfer targets, bit early to judge .

Brandon evidently approached our new Recruitment Specialist hence why he has joined until (at least) the end of this season.

Gained valuable experience in a similar role at Accrington and was responsible for recruiting a number of first team players.

Evidently Brandon approached him....hence why he is now on board so must be well known in footballing circles.

You would have thought he had learned his lesson, leaving us for Bradford, that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the Pennines!

Now he’s found out it isn’t back over the boarder either!!

GED has stepped him and it’s up to him to make a success of it, as posted before his first 10 league games were not easy and with 5 going back to their parent Clubs.

A very hard game tomorrow night, then on a run of 8 games that on paper we could do really well and climb back up the league.

As for DA maybe he over played it with his remarks, it must have put his players backs up to say the least.

However, there will be many Clubs back here in sunny England, that would employ him, so don’t be surprised if we see him in the dugout.
