Salford game moved to Paddys Day, Sunday 17th 2pm ko.
Salford are on telly on the Thursday

According to their fixtures they play Stockport on Tuesday 12th March so don't understand why our game as been pushed back 1 day to a Sunday

Salford v Stockport has been moved to Thursday 14th March for Sky TV and if a team plays on a Thursday they aren't forced to play their next match on the following Saturday hence it is moved a day to Sunday 17th.

I suppose, if we're honest, Salford v Stockport is a reasonably local derby in the Manchester area and will pull in far more viewers than Morecambe v Barrow...for example! Sky is in business to get viewers not to lend a helping hand the small fan base clubs.

It would be much fairer if, for example, Sky paid £xxx to the EFL, who distributed that money equally to the clubs in each division (obviously, more in the Championship than League One, more in League One than Two) then they were allowed to pick a certain number of games from each division. Clubs get a reasonable amount extra for expenses, but otherwise, the cash is equal. As it is, the bigger, richer clubs continue to get a bigger share of the pie. We've seen what's happened in the Premier League, Sky will soon be doing the same in lower leagues. How much are our parachute payments? I think we've one more season, then we will lose a huge wedge of cash from an already non-League budget.
