With Gwion Edwards signing for two year, being announced today, I wonder if this may be the start of a drip-feed of good news? Ten contracts were offered. Two signed. More to come?
Nice to feel positive for a change. Now, a new owner and new manager please!

I think we must have a manager pencilled in. Edwards would want to know who is going to be in charge.
I don't think Edwards would be one of the ones we held an option on so I think more good news to come !

Excuse me for being a little slow. Two great signings I was personally hoping for. Does this mean the embargo has been lifted and all bills have been paid ? Slow but sure we may be getting back to where the fans were hoping.

It's possible but I think these are more likely contracts that were sorted by Ged months ago and it's just taken this long to have them approved by the EFL. Until the club announce the embargo has been lifted, it's probably safe to assume it is still in affect.

I think you're probably right vvm although were we in a position at that time to give 2 year contracts?
There were other contracts handed out so maybe the others haven't been taken up yet or maybe they are still awaiting EFL approvement.....or maybe the club are drip feeding the info as Keith has suggested, it wouldn't be the first time that's been done. Although I would have thought the club would announce all good news ASAP to get more season ticket sales! Now where does that leave us....urrrmm?

At least GED cannot sign them now!! Thanks Ged, maybe if things had been different!!! I wonder who we end up with as manager? But whoever they are they have 3 good players and I hope the DRIP FEED keeps on producing exciting news.
Geeeeet Up, Morecambe

With having no manager, who will be doing the business of signing these players ? Just curious.

I think most of it was done before Ged left, the contracts were with the EFL and needed final endorsement by EFL, it took time because of the shadow of the embargo. So it either doesn’t affect the contracts or the embargo has been lifted. Either way if Gwion and Stu’s signed contracts were rubber stamped, you would think the other contracts sent into the EFL were also confirmed.
Well you would, Wouldn’t you!!

Delighted that 2 experienced players have put pen to paper.
Don't forget that Brandon Barker could be back after his surgery last season and along with a few talented Academy players we could have a blend of youth and experience.
Surely a new manager would have had to sanction the signings and is it possible we've gone for a player manager whose contract ends on Jun

Just the EFL sanctioning contracts sent ages ago. Nothing has changed.

I just wonder if the ownership is being sorted out behind the scenes will DA return? I am sure with an owner investing in our club he would jump at the opportunity.

You would think that with a player of Edwards ability and value to EFL 1 and 2 clubs signing what is in effect a 3 year contract that there must be some guaranteed funding from somewhere.
Be great if we have a return of The King and that he is given a decent budget.

CEO is Ben Sadler still working tirelessly for us. We can’t appoint a new one until Ben has left the building which however is fast approaching and who knows if we have a new one lined up or not, we will find out when we need to know or one is appointed, no need to make things sound worse than we know they are. I’m just happy we have just signed 2 quality players and fully expect more to follow suit

Ah the dream ticket! The fans would certainly flock back then.

Spot on BM.
Last season first 16 games produced 27 points. That was a trajectory if continued resulting in around 79/80 points and points mean prizes

He abdicated twice and lost the battle to stay in League 1, but if he flys the flag once more, I’m sure the fans will rally round. If he comes back, he comes back!
There again I’m sure even with a new King the fans will come back because I think the defining moment will be when we finally get new OWNERS.
Getting rid of the Bond group will be cathartic, the cleansing of the rot that set into the club. It’s a good job we had passionate BOD’s and fans for I have really feared for the clubs very existence.
As Rod said it cannot go on, now is the time to purge the drain that has been on this club since it was put up for sale. If it’s not sold now there is a massive chance the club would be worth next nothing.
Please please please get any deal done and let’s start a new era.

Still too soon to get over-excited but I do wonder if we're on the cusp of something happening. If the American group that Derek referred to before he left, really comes through, with some investment, then I could see Derek returning, and genuinely having a '
five year plan'. Having been bitten twice after leaving us, with some cash behind him, he could be back, with some stability.
Exciting times potentially
Or, we could still end up in Administration in the next few weeks?
