I would have gone if it had been trialists and existing signings but not for an academy team.

I feel sorry for Kendal who are a nice club and probably hoping to make some money from an EFL club playing them.

Decent turnout from our fans I was thinking I was going to be the only one here.

Our social media seems more interested in advertising the England game tonight than following the match.

H/T 1 up thanks to Dobson. OurNo7 looks to be a speed merchant. Impressed with 10and 3 to date. New goalkeeper looks assured. Overall a good test for the Academy against an impressive Kenad who hopefully will do well in their new league. Academy lads show a bit of class .

Not sure I agree. Kendal knew our situation when they arranged the friendly, especially with it being our first game. I think they'd be more interested in seeing our young lads with a view to taking players on loan!

Well in my days of living in Heysham, Nethérfield 2 Morecambe 1 wasn't the end of the world. Chorley at home the following week, so we would hope for better things.

Stephen Yawson I believe. Name seems familiar... Was he in our academy once upon a time?

Steve who scored their winner was a former Academy player. Lookd good but not EFL standard in my opinion.

This, was Kendals 3rd pre season game. First time some of our lads had played together.

I've seen Kendal play twice this pre season saw them play at Caton as well. Yawson has pace to burn but sometimes lacks the final ball which is prob why he isn't at a higher level.
