No Hope. Come on, they've not kicked off yet - have a little faith.

Trialist number 9 was taken off and subbed at half-time so he was either very good and the King wants to keep him away from the eyes of other clubs or more likely not the answer to our striker search.

Seems to be Lee Angol.

More clubs than Tiger Woods.

Played for Bradford when Derek was manager.

Final score 1-1 with centre back Stott scoring his first for his new club....the first of many hopefully.

DA has to work within his budget and it is what it is, what is expected of us this season?

I went to Burscough again this year and they were a better team than last year, us not so.

I didn’t go to Workington today, I wonder why Edward’s was not there?

Borscough in tier 9 and Workington in (tier 7) of the English football pyramid, Morecambe in tier 4.

Still Blackburn Rovers (tier 2), Southport (tier 6) and Burton Albion (tier 3).

Walsall beat Tamworth today 3-2. Tamworth (tier 5).

Today’s results mean absolutely nothing! It’s all about getting minutes into the legs and forming relationships on the pitch.

How to interpret pre-season friendly results:

Beat a team from a higher league, we're going to have a brilliant season, promotion on the cards, play-offs at minimum.

Lose to a lower league side, it's all about fitness and trying things out, pre-season is irrelevant, don't know why people get so bothered.

Simple. :D :D :D

DA and his boys season starts v Walsall.......up until then it's all about performances and getting to know all the new faces and how they play.

Always nice to win but I've been through too many pre season games where the team have done superbly and the following season has been crap.

It's all about the first few games in the EFL and Cups that really matter.

:)

Bland, mid-table... 8-)

I did think about referencing a pre-season draw, but then instantly forgot... just like a pre-season draw!

Yes those are right about pre-season and performance against lower league opponents, we have a few more matches that are against higher level opponents so we will see if we are ready when we play Walsall away first game of the season.

I was only pointing out fact, my expectations for the coming season will be gauged by our performances in August.
