I saw something on twitter this morning that new company Sarbjot set up one of his directors has stepped down and they have changed the company address back to his Bham address instead of somewhere in London.

More rejigging but not sure why

Interesting that Derek says the owner and directors are in contact with a group, an individual, at this moment in time.

Don't quite know what to make of that, is it a group or an individual ..........or both?

Actually, it was the next sentence that interested me the most...

They obviously can’t give a timescale on when things might happen because that’s with the EFL.

If that is literally accurate, then it means a bid has been accepted by Whittingham, otherwise it wouldn't be with the EFL. Could this mean we're actually pretty close to something happening?

Good to see Derek with a big smile. I would expect that Derek already has the 'two or three' players lined up, if the sale goes through. It sounds positive... ...ish

If the EFL does not give the green light to the deal we’re does that leave JW and his agreed buyer?

Definitely hope you are right, and it is a decent new owner coming in! EFL can move quickly if they are happy with everything.

Is it me but was the joint statement by GW & RT very cryptic considering what is being said, that the deal has been agreed by the EFL.

Was anything said at the Shrimps Trust last night?

Jason contacted the Trust yesterday to say a deal has been agreed and now waiting for EFL approval.

Pretty meaningless in my opinion, EFL approval can be done very quickly when a person is actually fit and proper .
We wait and see.

So does anybody really know if the EFL has approved it yet?

NO definitive answer on that if the Club have not announced it or the Shrimps Trust confirming it at last nights meeting.

Have people just jumped the gun?

Maybe announced today, with what DA has said and the joint statement by the Co- Chairmen, it alluded to it happening soon, but we have been there before!!

That would be a bugger if JW is still the owner for the first game of the season, the two year anniversary of the Club being put up for sale fast approaching.

Way I read it Billy is deal agreed between JW and buyer, but now awaiting EFL approval. The phrasing isn't great

Maybe the Trust can send out a latest update on this comms from Jason W

Does this mean the EFL approval of the sale? or the EFL approval for the fit and proper test?

The Trust gave an update at last nights AGM, which I am sure will be published shortly.
Jason has contacted to say a buyer has been agreed and they are waiting on the EFL.

I would take anything that comes out of his mouth with a pinch of salt and would wait until we hear something from the EFL.

err have I missed something what joint statement wasn't that just been about a community or something nothing to do with a takeover.

We all know the EFL have been looking at it for a few weeks now as they had a meeting with the new potential owners. I'm guessing they still aren't happy with something hence the delay and the change of details with the sport company Sarbjot had setup.

I probably over analysing, but it’s classic management speak, (that I’m used to anyway), that’s why in a previous post I was saying the statement was cryptic.

‘We are united by a sense of hope and anticipation of what’s to come’
(We hope New owners will put investment into the club?)

Through the power of the Club badge, football has a unique ability to bring people together
(We don’t want the current problems up and down the country at our Club.)

‘It is that football and community spirit that continues to win hearts and minds and why we must do whatever we can to protect it’
(New owners may change how the club is run! Is that necessary?)

Finally, again why wasn’t it a Club Statement?
(Are changes afoot?)
