Historically Derek's usually been pretty up for the first match of the season, so here's to hoping.

A surprisingly sparse crowd given it is the first game of the season, weather is good and there no nearby Premier League teams playing.

Walsall don't look great, but we look very poor. Midfield a shambles at the moment, can't string two passes together. Hope entirely isolated and barely touched the ball. A decent side would be out of sight by now.
